Heartily Volunteering To Change The World

A window of opportunity has opened for volunteers to attend the 21st IAVE World Volunteer Conference on 24 to 27 January 2011 at Resorts World Sentosa. The conference will be looking at achievements and opportunities in volunteering. The theme is “Volunteering to Change the World.”



More than 150 leading local and international figures from over 50 countries will be lending their hands and giving their hearts to share their experiences, insights and visions. They include superstars Michelle Yeoh and Jet Li, Senior Minister of Singapore, Goh Chok Tong and the executive coordinator for United Nations Volunteers, Flavia Pansieri.

Delegates can get a bird’s eye view of volunteerism by choosing from 5 tracks of forums and workshops:

  5. Strategic Issues in Volunteer Management.

Youth volunteers can choose to attend the IAVE Youth Volunteer Conference which will be held on 21 to 23 January 2011 at Singapore Management University (SMU) where they can network with other volunteer youths and workshop experts. In addition to participating in pilot service projects and attending workshops, there is a networking lunch on 23 January where more than 30 local CEOs, industry partners and non-profit practitioners will be present.
