The Gatekeepers

Paper does not appear out of thin air,
Ink does not rain from the sky and
Articles do not form from the ether.

Here we chronicle the many hours chasing the 5 C’s that culminates in each unique issue of Good Paper.

Dazzle Foo “I live to create a good life, inspired by love, guided by knowledge and shared through action.”

Dazzle is passionate in supporting others to become the person they want to be by asking questions, providing guidance and encouragement. She views her work with Good Paper as a life partnership. ”It’s a space where I can keep learning and explore new ideas and opportunities. I can nurture others to be who they want to be, by matching their strengths with opportunities.”

Guillermo Beringuel Jr

“Life is the sum of all your choices.” – Albert Camus

Guillermo strives to encourage others to be meaningful individuals by looking to role models. Guillermo leads by example, seeing Good Paper as an avenue for his own self-improvement as a journalist, while contributing to social change. Guillermo finds his motivation in the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Nothing thing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm”.

Mark Lai

“Life must be lived as play.” – Plato

Mark, who has a background in the creative industry, aspires to making an impact on the lives of people in need, “not in a big way, but in whatever small way I can.” We feel there is nothing small about his passion for editorial design, and with it, the potentially great things he can achieve with Good Paper. “Design allows me to tell a story in an engaging and creative fashion,” says Mark, “and leave a lasting impression.”

Geordie Wilks

“A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.”

Geordie believes in taking life by the horns and giving it your best. He issues a challenge: “Why be busy? Why be bored? Why be trapped or scared? Will these things keep you glued to the page when you read the book of your own life?” He sees Good Paper as a gateway to a world where people can take action for the things they believe in. “See opportunities and make a difference where it counts. This is what I’m doing with my life, and how I relate to Good Paper.”

Sylvia Sin

“Life is what you make of it. And the best part of it – is simply being alive.”

Sylvia sees in Good Paper a rewarding kind of synergy that mirrors her own enjoyment in drawing out what?real and fundamentally good in a person. She calls Good Paper a cauldron of opportunities, ideas, and shared experiences. “It’s a platform where I see myself discovering more of who I am, and who I want to be. Good Paper is a growing, breathing entity, constantly evolving and reinventing itself – not entirely unlike how I see myself.”

Ivan Wong

“We meet no ordinary people in our lives.” – C.S. Lewis

Getting to know the people behind Good Paper has inspired Ivan to help people through sharing ideas worth spreading and doing. During the day he thinks of solutions for his digital marketing clients. But with Good Paper,  he sees a universe of endless possibility: “I’m keen to explore the exciting ways I can use technology to help connect people in meaningful ways.”
